Its incredible color, ranging from pale orange to deep brick red, is due to the presence of iron oxides (hematite) in its structure.
Our stones come from ethical deposits in Madagascar or India, known for the superior quality of their carnelians. Extraction is done with care to avoid breaking the natural nodules. Unlike carnelian artificially heated to redden it, our carnelian is 100% natural.
Its color is the result of millions of years of exposure to the earth’s heat and natural ground radiation. After extraction, the stones are simply washed to reveal their unique "skin."
